The main purpose of the Department of Educational Sciences is to train competent teachers and education specialists in the fields needed by our country, to teach professional teaching knowledge courses to help prospective teachers gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the profession, to implement in-service training programs for managers and teachers in primary and secondary schools and other educational institutions, and to carry out various activities aimed at improving the quality of education and training through projects and dissertations at graduate level.
Our department consists of the following divisions: Philosophical, Social and Historical Foundations of Education, Assessment and Evaluation in Education, Education Programs and Instruction, Educational Administration, Lifelong Learning and Adult Education, and Guidance and Psychological Counseling.
The Department of Educational Sciences carries out its educational and research activities with a field-oriented, practical and dynamic public service awareness. It prioritizes teamwork and collaboration between individuals and institutions. It conducts its research at national, regional and international levels.
